$100 Pig Destroyer package with a lighter and you a "fully signed" LP. Come on. To remember what they sounded like I had to watch a 30 second Mitt Romney commercial on YouTube to hear a track off the album, comeon Relapse.

That's super weak. That band hasn't been good in a LONG time either. Plus, a hundred smackers for an album? Someone is giving Jon Chang a run for their money (the new Gridlink album will be 350 dollars and run on nano-bots.).
I will download this off of some kids blogspot, listen to one song, and then delete it.
America.

High On Fire, Tragedy, Integrity, Trap Them This is a pretty good list. I like SunnO)))'s Black One and Khanate's self titled, other than that I don't think those bands are any good either. Bands people seem to really like that I just don't know why: Slayer Megadeth Discharge and all their clones pretty much all NYHC bands any "modern hardcore" band Brutal Truth Anyway, I've dug my own hole deep enough for now, I'll be back later to hit a layer of magma.

Separate contribution:
- I'm a big hater on Trap Them, Black Breath, The Secret, and the rest of that HM-2 Southern Lord ilk. - Terrorizer (paint-by-numbers riffs; give me Napalm Death and Repulsion instead) - Modern Life is War - Annihilation Time (at some point, people cared) - Amebix - Lack of Interest (we've gone over this already) - not a band, but any vocalist from the last ten years doing Denunzio vocals. Die in a house fire.
Not that it would fly here, but I remember back in high school (7 or 8 years ago) that a lot of internet people loved Gut. How many people still stick behind that after their MDF appearance? Jaja...

Separate contribution: - Terrorizer (paint-by-numbers riffs; give me Napalm Death and Repulsion instead) since you justified your opinion, i will say fuck that. there is absolutely nothing more "paint by numbers" about terrorizer's riff writing than repulsion's. the outro riff from fear of napalm gets me every time. still enjoy listening to GUT records. i dont know that many people that mention or even like them. Odour of Torture gets spins here. never been to MDF, don't care. /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ -"fastcore" -humorous noisecore -all harsh noise -Maruta

I excluded this band because there's no way anyone likes this shit, I mean really? Awful. Re: powerviolence. I get far more annoyed by the sub group of people that pop up on this forum to chat every time some generic rehash band with members of X "legendary powerviolence" pops up you don't see talking anywhere else than the bands themselves. But I still do like some facets of the genre a lot.

Change up in the riff after the solo in "Black Breath" and mid-tempo mosh part in "Maggots in Your Coffin" being run through the computer. Conclusion gathered from field data: "Nah dawg."

I like maybe two songs that MLIW has done, other than that I can't get into them much at all. They used to have a HUGE following here in Jackson, for some reason.

I like amebix, but I don't understand their legendary status. It's pretty misleading. Once I got over the "greatest band ever" shit, I could get down to enjoying them.
Also, I think I agree with everything that everybody else has mentioned for the most part.

Slayer's first 4 are good, incl Haunting the Chapel, then the 90's hit and... ouch. stop already Early/mid Megadeth is fairly sick (re Rust in Peace!). too bad that bastard is a total wingnut. also, i like ModernLifeIsWar. but i like lots of garbage.. case in point: JIMMY EAT WORLD > INFEST i should add the Catharsis reunion show announcement made me yawn. people think there's something wrong with me.

99% of everything being made that people would consider "popular". I work with a bunch of buttholes that listen to the worst possible genres or "metal", hc, death metal possible. Just terrible stuff. I don't get/like/enjoy it at all. Pretty sure they feel the same way about the music I like. I cleared the entire building yesterday when I played The Oily Menace demo for a friend.
Can somebody please explain to me what the fuck i wrestled a bear once is? I'm scared to even listen to their music because I've seen nobody but the biggest possible douche bags talk about that band. I won't even give them a chance. I know that shit must be terrible.
Also, I fucking hated The Endless Blockade. So yeah.
