I saw them once and the overdrive they used was WAAAAAAAY too extreme. The dB gain was too nuts.

dang... You're Living All Over Me is one of my favorite albums ever, but I guess it could be kind of ear-shredding live.
I'm really surprised I never mentioned this here, but Phyllomedusa dooes nothing for me.

I saw them once and the overdrive they used was WAAAAAAAY too extreme. The dB gain was too nuts. i got free tickets to see em a few years back. went in with no expectations and was blown away, mostly by how noisy they were and j mascis' non-stop shredding. i only like dismember and entombed when i'm on a long drive. every time i try it at home it doesn't click.

Ya know, I tried a bunch of times with Magrudergrind's S/T album but never ended up giving shit about it. Super scrubbed dry and compressed mix and I don't think the material is just that raging at the end of the day. Fucking sick live band but not one I listen to much at all.

Had a tape of 62 Trax of Thrash by Magrudergrind that I listened to a lot like 9 or 10 years ago so I’ll always have a soft spot for that era of the band even if it’s totally not anything super special, they definitely lost me from the s/t onwards though. They played here a couple years ago with some super porno-y death metal bands and I did not attend.
