Figured I'd start a whole thread about this.
Book is almost done, one week then submitting it to my publisher.
Booyah!

I'd always wondered about self-publishing books, how expensive is it?

I'm not self publishing so I'm not sure. I know it depends on how you do it, whether you go through a one-off book printer or print em all at once.

Again, its cheap/free if you do a one-off place but you only get a small chunk of the cash and would have to buy any copies you got for yourself. Good for vanity pressing. I've never priced a short run printing but doing something like the Manchild 6 book took a bit more cash than printing an LP for a pallet of books.

I think I did either 1500 or 2000 but all the options completely change the price, type of binding, number of pages....etc.
