Adramelech - Spring of Recovery One of the most underrated bands from the old Finnish scene! The album is also killer!

Adramelech - Spring of Recovery One of the most underrated bands from the old Finnish scene! The album is also killer! Definitely - although I don't really listen to the album... the grit and grime is missing and it all sounds very "pro" which sorta sterilizes it for me.

I've been liking the Iron Bonehead stuff myself. Especially Rope Sect, Urn and Venefixion.
"Forking Paths" is an awesome LP. I also like their split with Cokskar. Really looking forward to their new LP.

Planet AIDS - "Apokalyptik AIDS" From what Nate was telling me last I saw him like a year and a half ago it sounds like the new Scaphe is gonna be a pretty sharp left turn away from the MITB-style stuff on Forking Paths. I really liked those couple of Husker Du esque tracks on Long Way Down though and am very stoked to hear what they do next. Also that Goatsblood album is one of my favourite sludge records of all time and is so, so underrated. I found my way into the DIY metal/punk scene about 3 or 4 years too late to see them playing peoples’ basements around here, sadly. Anyway today at work I listened to the new Mammoth Grinder (really good), The Rock Band Called Time - Machine (amazing Thin Lizzy worship local to here, members of TLAL’s own Osk), Hole - Live Through This (say what you will about Courtney Love, this record crushes) and Jawbreaker - Dear You (honestly have been jamming this band more than almost any brutal shit for a solid couple years now, no shame).

I was kind of expecting it to be more along the lines of "Long Way Down". That one does sound real different from their other releases. It's a decent record all the same. Cool as it would be if the new one was like the split with Cokskar and "Forking Paths" I just don't see that happening.

Any surprise that band throws my way on their new stuff is more than welcome!

I reckon it's solid enough but certainly not as heavy or pummeling as the previous record The Nak'ay tracks on that Archagathus split fucking rip so hard! Probably my favourite stuff of theirs

Probably my favourite stuff of theirs I didn't really like what I heard from undergang til this record. I really like the vocals and the whole record is really hard. I think my favorite nak'ay stuff is on the 5" with unholy grave. I was so blown away when I got it. It's such a drastic change from their demo, which I didn't like. This infanticide ep is such a ripper. I don't know why no one talks about that band

Will have to crank it again. I think the Archagathus split was the first one of theirs that I got. I don't know Infanticide, shall check it out
