I realize its kind of vague, but makes for an awesome topic. Off the top of my head: Two throwback records: Minor Threat Discography - most listened to album of my life, still rules Dr. Octagonacologist - just weird and I listened to this since back in the day, haven't picked it up recently but it is awesome Current jam records: Unholy Grave - Revoltage - just rules, thats it, so good and actually captures some of their live sound Larm - Straight/Campaign repress is amazing and great and good Crossed Out 10" opened my eyes to a lot of new music
Probably really odd choices but I'm sleepy!

Look unto the rays of the new stoner sun rising.
Flawless album through and through, I just realized that I forgot to say why I thought so, darn looks like I have to talk about it now, what a shame.
Alright, this album has it all, thought-provoking lyrics while remaining un-pretentious (something rarely achieved), solid rhythm with grooving bass lines that are very nicely distinct from the guitar, Chris Hakius knows how to keep a beat without deciding he wants to show off his chops by playing ridiculously fast, memorable riffs and solos that don't feel like wankery as much as they do just a natural extension of the apex of the song itself, booming vocals that just plain soar over the top. And the best part is that the songs are all so different, yet cohesive. They recorded the songs a few at a time because they didn't have the money to do it all at once. They just played music because they loved it, and few bands can honestly say that.

Obituary - Slowly We Rot Morbid Angel - Rapture Repulsion - HORRIFIED Terrorizer - World Downfall Incantation - Onward to Golgotha
well, those are 5 perfect records. putting together a numbered top 5 would be impossible, and i'm sure there are some records not quite popping into mind that i enjoy more than one or two of these.

But rly, no love for those guys? out of the late 80's early 90's scenes, sweden is probably my least favorite, but that's not saying i don't love left hand path and like an everflowing stream i love a ton of swedish releases actually, but it's really hard to choose just 5 albums sooooo you know, i will ultimately let down a few people with my list

I'm a swedeath guy myself. Don't really care about any other death metal. That sound just does it for me.
