i am a fan of their abundant use of the word "poser" though.

this is really some of the best PV I've heard in a long time. I get the welfare part; he doesn't hate people on welfare, just people on welfare only because they are too lazy to do anything else. the only lyric that really throws me off is the line "my god is my judge". ironic or serious? can we get someone from the band to clarify?

My favorite release of 2010, I am so happy I saw them live. Really neat dudes, friendly, super good time.
I can for sure see how the lyrics send "mixed-messages", and I agree that is seems like they are on the "other side" of the class war. But fuck, the anger is what helped to make this my favorite of the year, and I am sure they don't hate absolutely everyone on welfare. The argument that everyone on it is "lazy" is tripe, as that is just not the case at all.
People do leech to it, and abuse it, and that is what they are speaking out against. It says right in sleeve itself, down below in their "Thanks" section.

Repress ordered... all blue vinyl, blue center labels, silver ink still on cover, and insert now on inside cover.

This band absolutely slays. Half the people I talk to are really stoked on the band and the other half absolutely hate this band for their lyrics. I sold this to my buddy Dave after trading with SP and he loves it, he never bothered to read the lyrics though, so when people are giving him shit for liking them he has no clue why haha. I met some dude up here from Arizona who talked shit on them relentlessly, calling them dicks and a "pv band on record but a shitty bro-core band live", the best part was that there were 4-5 people right there who turned around and defended them. I hope they come up to Canada one day, Kyle hasnt resonded to me email in forEVER

Either way around it, these guys don't have bro attitude. They might have some of the aesthetic but I really feel like they think it is funny. I guess that seems silly to have a rad band with semi weird but joking lyrics but I think they just have an odd sense of humor. Either way around it, I love this band.

I never bothered reading the lyrics. But what I will do tonight is give them a glance and spin the record. I doubt anything about the words will bother me, seeing as the guy who runs this board and censors all the unfriendly slurs has no problem with it.
PS: I think the music is great and a lot of this style powerviolence is starting to make me roll my eyes these days.

A quick scan of the lyrics reveals that they are meaningless, pretty boring, and therefore harmless to me. These guys aren't a threat to anything, they just write some ripping tunes.
