I got to the first temple in the forest in Skyward Sword. This game RULES! I tend to procrastinate turning it on in the day, but once I do I end up playing for like, two hours straight.

My only complaint with Skyward Sword is that you explore basically the same 3 areas. You go further into them each time, and then the last time they change it up on you, but it doesn't change that the basic locales are relegated to 3 environments. But in terms of making everything that happens in the game overall more enjoyable than past games they succeeded.

haha I've been playing it for a couple days but I'm weird about searching every level for any special shit and generally take FOREVER to beat anything so I'm sure I've got a while to go. just as enjoyable as the first one so far.

Super Mario Galaxy games are next on my list to get. I have a Gamestop gift card The first one is great and only 20$ now. I haven't played the 2nd one yet but I heard it's awesome, too. Donkey Kong Country Returns is fuckin awesome if you like the old donkey kong country games, as well. It's made by the same people who did the Metroid Prime games, and the game oozes quality.

Yeah Mike, you can get MG1 for super cheap right now. Like $15 used at a gamestop or whatever and it's totally worth it... if you beat it all the way through it will probably keep you busy until MG2 drops in price. I want that DK game and Zelda baaaaaaaad but my video game time is minimal so I'll just wait til I beat MG2 first.
I heard Kirby's Epic Yarn is pretty awesome too.

Fuck epic yarn, they just came with an old school style kirby with 4 player co-op. Return to dreamland is the name, I think. Fun as hell to knock back a couple beers and play through with a friend.

Yeah, but it's a leftover gamecube game and it shows. Epic Yarn is creative as fuck and just looks amazing.

It may just be me, but the Skyward Sword is not very challenging so far.
I beat the second temple and am in the third area tonight, all this while kicking a decent buzz.

I haven't found it particularly challenging, but at least it's not wind waker easy. I think it's got a good level of difficulty. I just beat the 5th temple and I've died in combat once or twice on bosses but that's about it.

Also if anyone has a copy of the Metroid Prime trilogy on wii they'd like to part with, I'd be down to buy it or trade some records or something.

It may just be me, but the Skyward Sword is not very challenging so far. I beat the second temple and am in the third area tonight, all this while kicking a decent buzz. my brother has been playing it non-stop since christmas. its probably just the fact that hes not all that great at video games, but on occasion, ill hear him scream at the top of his lungs out of frustration. one zelda game i probably wont be able to play. not only do i not have a wii, but id feel guilty considering i have a friend in a wheelchair who is much more of a fan of zelda than I, and cannot play it due to his disability.

Invite the dude over to your house when you're playing the game and let him take in the full experience... I know if I couldn't play a game due to a disability, I'd be thrilled at that opportunity.

if ever i have the game, i might just try that. however, i dont see myself obtaining a wii, a motion plus package or a copy of the game itself anytime soon. im also very sure my asshole brother would never allow a degenerate like myself anywhere near his.

Super Mario Galaxy has been bought and it was dirt cheap too (less than $20 after tax). I don't think it'll be put in today due to still working on Zelda and other reasons, but can't wait to get into it.

I bought Armored Core V and it fucking rules. Total OCD amounts of customization and really big emphasis on team play. So far no one has joined team "Power Violence" but I'm hoping they do because I really don't want to have to switch to another team.

currently playing dead island for xbox 360. its fun, but slightly frustrating. almost everything is run on the same engine as borderlands, so its wasnt hard at all to get used to the odd menu style. the frustrating part is the ridiculous difference between enemy type. there are 'walkers' that dont move fast and dont do much damage, then there are 'infected' that full on run, knock you over, and have the ability to stop your attack mid-swing, hit you four times for half your health, then knock you over. most frustrating so far is the 'suicider' thats just an enormous pimple that blows up on contact. dying in game is the same as borderlands also, except there are no spawn points, it just puts you in the same place(or close by) with the same zombies around, plus a deduction of about 9% of your current cash. my favorite part so far: bashing skulls with a mace modified to electrocute on contact.

This. Never had any problems with this emu when I used it. Recent games I've played through to at least finish the story mode (or equivalent): Skyward Sword (Wii) Metroid Prime 3 (Wii) Portal 2 (PS3) Fallout 3 (PS3) I also beat my personal best score on Ikaruga, nice! Btw, if anybody wants any of the above mentioned games, I'm willing to sell/trade them. I don't do a whole lot of gaming anymore unless there's a game I just absolutely have to play or else I'll die, haha. I also have a good bit of old SNES games I'm willing to part ways with too, if any of you are interested.
