I just downloaded a ROM of Mother for NES to give it a whirl (Mother 2 is what became Earthbound in the states) but it's in Kanji... at least I can sort of figure out what's going on anyway. EDIT: Never mind, found an English one I also found Mystical Ninja on Game Boy. Had been trying to find a cartridge of the N64 game for several years to no avail. Not gonna lie, the first Mother kinda sucked. It could be because i'm not a huge fan of ost NES RPGs, but Mother 2 and 3 were some of my favorite games ever. Got a ROM of Mother 3 after getting home from work last night... THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME

is there a fan translation of mother 3? will D/L that shit asap if so. My only complaint with Skyward Sword is that you explore basically the same 3 areas. You go further into them each time, and then the last time they change it up on you, but it doesn't change that the basic locales are relegated to 3 environments. But in terms of making everything that happens in the game overall more enjoyable than past games they succeeded. gotta agree wit this. still enjoyed it though, but would have LOVED if they'd given the option to just use the classic controller or something. i'd played twilight princess on wii years ago and thought it was okay, but recently replayed the gamecube version and liked it a lot more. guess i'm just not a fan of waggling

I recently (re)purchased Super Metroid and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Two of my all time favorite games, first time playing them on the SNES in many, many years. Feels good, man.

The flying controls were kind of weird though. Still haven't beaten it. I'm on the water dragon I believe, haven't played in months.

I've been actively collecting old video games and consoles for a few years. The only thing I really play every day is my Sega Genesis + 32X, arcade-style games like Truxton and Gunstar Heroes. I just bought Beavis & Butthead last weekend so I'm also playing that at the moment

I've always been curious about trying to pick up a 32x, my genesis still works, is it worth it?

It's definitely worth it. There aren't that many games for it, but there are a number of flawless or really good arcade ports. Virtua Fighter 32X is somehow better than the Saturn version

I just bought my first SNES after a lifetime of hating on Nintendo. Any recommendations? (Besides RPGS)
