I used to read a lot more. Mostly DC (particularly Green Lantern), Fantagraphics and Vertigo titles. And Hellboy and other Dark Horse ones as well. Had a ton of toys but after losing my job and being broke I couldn't afford to keep up with stuff and sold off some. I don't have many prints. I have a sweet Hellboy one. I have a few pages of original art (a page of Y: The Last Man and a page from Peter Bagge's first issue of Hate Annual) I wouldn't mind getting back into it and still grab TPBs from library when one currently catches my eye. Most recent obsession is Pim & Francie by Al Columbia

We've got one of these threads around here somewhere, but I couldn't find it. I've got about 6 or 7 long boxes full. I'm actively reading X-Factor and the new Age of Apocalypse, but I can't seem to keep up with all of the X-books these days. Thor is one that I need to get back on, the Straczynski run was one of the best I've read in a while. Hulk VS. was pretty rad, I recently picked up the first two volumes of the Astonishing X-Men motion comics on DVD. They were done really well, had more motion than I expected.

I quit reading it as Darkest Night was about half way through. Or was it Rise of the Red Lanterns? I forget. I really enjoyed The Sinestro Corps stuff though.
I also have a few Daniel Clowes tattoos.

Always feel like I'm too late in the game to get into on any of the really in-depth series, but I have picked up a few old horror comics recently. Also, Italian artist, Stefano Cordoselli's 'Walk' is in-the-works and looks sick!! [ www.indiegogo.com/cardoselliwalk?c=gallery]-ENDS IN 3 DAYS* (perks for contribution include resin figures, recreation of characters mask, up to being included in the actual comic.)

I'll probably snag that Thor & Loki comic soon from Amazon, I think it's pretty cheap on there. Fuck Wal-mart.

It has nothing to do with being punk for me, and everything to do with not supporting an evil corporation that exploits less fortunate cultures and treats their employees like shit. But that's just me.
Back to the topic at hand, I picked up the first issue of Before Watchmen the other day as well, and as much as I hate the idea and think it's totally unnecessary, I enjoyed it. The Crimson Corsair artwork is nuts, and I'm looking forward to Straczynski and Kubert's work.

A while ago I slimed down to just reading the Goon, I love eric powells work. He is a funny book master! But I fell off of keeping track of new issues over a year ago. I need to get back on that.
I also collect the origenal Deadworld series but i haven't bin looking around as much as i once was. I think im only missing a few issues (I collect all the varrent covers as well, Vincent Locke is the master of gore.)

I also have a few Daniel Clowes tattoos. Always loved "Ghost World"...just do...always wanted the Enid doll! I know it's an easy call of Clowes, but it hooked me in...(ditto with "Art School...") I LOVE "Like A Velvet Glove Cast In Iron"...I must have read that a million times...i had to read it like 3 times at first to "get it"...which I still am not sure what the hell is going on in parts...ha ha ha... My favorite so far was David Boring. Such a crazy book. Ice Haven and The Death Ray were also rad. He was on a roll there before he quit to write movie scripts. I'm glad he's making comics again. Velvet Glove is so great though. I'd love to see a Cronenberg adaptation of it.

Other than www.snakebombcomix.com/ I don't really keep up with any current comix at the moment but I'll raid any dollar bin I see. I mostly look for independents from the late 80's/early 90's. stuff like Ultra Klutz, Deadworld, Pirate Corp$, Johnny Nemo, The Tick, and anything by Richard Corben.

Finally read through all of my Siege tie-in books. Not my favorite event, but Oliver Coipel's art is always a pleasure to look at. Don't have enough of Fear Itself to start that yet, but I prefer Matt Fraction to Bendis I think as far as writing goes.
Also finally got all of my Uncanny X-Men together, can't quite fit it all into one long box though. All of my miscellaneous x-books are next to bag, board and catalog. Not looking forward to it.

Fuck yeah! Stoked to see some other grind nerds also being comic nerds.
Currently reading Berserk, Elephantmen, The Goon, Chew, Vagabond, Orc Stain, Judge Dredd, the new CREEPY books, and a few short run/assorted what not's here and there. I love Sam Keith stuff as well, I think the Maxx is easily one of the best comics ever written.
I strongly recommend Elephantmen and Berserk. I feel like most folks into grindcore would probably be into those books. Amazing depth, writing, artwork, all while also being hyper-violent. What more can you ask for?

Those are both ones I've been meaning to check out actually. I'll probably try and pick up Irredeemable as well soon.

I've been meaning to give Irredeemable a look. Not crazy about superheroes, but I love satire/different takes on it (ala Watchmen, The Boys, etc). That Walk shit looks fucking awesome! Might have to pitch in a few bucks towards that.
And definitely give Orc Stain a go. Some of the most unique artwork and a dark, twisted world (only funny as hell too, Sam Keith comparisons maybe?). Only bummer is that it comes out extremely sporadically. Issue 7 came out recently, and the series started a couple years ago, so yeah.

That's why I started reading super hero stuff. Sick of waiting forever for an issue of Love And Rockets to come out.

That's why I started reading super hero stuff. Sick of waiting forever for an issue of Love And Rockets to come out. Yeah, I hear you. Berserk is the WORST. It's all been written and drawn by the same dude since 1988 though, so I think it's forgivable. I can't get into superhero stuff. I used to read X-Men growing up, that was about it. To each their own though. I definitely know a few folks who get rabid pissed when I dis on their favorite capes. Haha.

Currently tackling boxing up a few thousand comics so I can reorganize my room. Seeing all the rad shit I've hoarded over 11 years rules. Tons and tons of Marvel books (full crossover runs of Civil War, Secret Invasion, Annihilation, World War Hulk, etc.), almost every Hellboy/BPRD/etc comic, a bunch of Grendel, Spawn, Cerebus stuff, a good amount of awesome and gory Ennis and Ellis books on Avatar.

have pretty much every Crossed book. first 2 volumes are the best. vol. 3 has great art.
the new 52 Swamp Thing is a favorite right now. really excited about Howard Chaykin's sequel to Black Kiss that just started.

Crossed rules, I only have the first 9 issues but I wanna look into getting the rest.
After somewhat organizing my stuff, I found that I have a full box of Spawn, a full box of Ghost Rider (including every issue from the past 6 years), one and a half boxes of Hellboy/BPRD, and half a box of Moon Knight comics. Plus a few thousand other things. I am re obsessing over these things again and it rules!
