I know. I was only saying this because I think saying mince is just a copout for describing crusty grindcore is overlooking how much variety can come with crusty grindcore.
feel this deserves more explanation. basically, i think people have a tendency to label anything that has catchy, slower riffs or pronounced punk influences "mince". i encounter this with Grinchfinger CONSTANTLY, and it is annoying. we never put that word into anyones mouth. i am definitely not into crust punk. i kind of blame the bands for being lazy and abusing someone else's term they used to try to describe their band in a unique way, so shame on them.
Why does Agathocles get to invent a new genre for themselves anyway? Is mincecore the Belgian word for "shitty"?
There is NO SUCH THING AS MINCECORE. Not even Agathocles. They're just really fucking bad grind and that's that.
Well it does sound a bit different than, again, say Excruciating Terror or Warsore. So if you want to distinguish it, be my guest. I like mince in a live setting because it's fun to mosh to. I don't really stress over the use of a term, because it has literally no bearing on me.
