This is a book written by Richard Adams that UK epic crust (oh, let's not bicker about genres now, shall we?) band Fall of Efrafa is based on. Just finished reading it and my impression of the band has reached new highs. Now I am anticipating the final album with an almost renewed enthusiasm! The references to the band in the book (or rather, vice versa...) also makes me a little excited in my heart.
What do the people on here think of it? O Frith on a hill, let's nerd out!

I LOVE that book. Probably my favorite book of all time. I love Fall of Efrafa too.

General Woundwort is probably the ugliest rabbit in the whole of history, hands down. But then again, he's supposed to look menacing.

I've listened to this book on tape years ago when travelling somewhere with my parents, but just can't remember anything about it. I probably should read it at some point.

It's the only book I've ever read that made me want to immediately want to read it again when I finished it.

You can actually download the movie version via torrent, but like a lot of film adaptations I find that it pales in comparison. Some parts of the book were cut as well, plus it had a really bad intro. Won't say more about it, don't want to spoil the fun. Check it out for yrselves. I fuckin' hated Cowslip. Fuck that guy. I found that chapter about the warren of snares to be somewhat fascinating. I was imagining all sorts of possibilities at how the rabbits there could be so mysterious.

So what would a Watership Down party be like?

About as awkward as any other party consisting mostly of people who don't know each other very well.

I'm guessing this was in reference to watching the movie adaptation and eating pizza. Deathinbodies and I are in the same band, so we already know each other.

That's what I was kinda referring to...but if you wanna make it awkward we can each get a copy of the book and have a silent reading party. Or better yet, take turns reading it out loud to each other.
