www.hcholocaust.com/servlet/StoreFront. Their on-line store is "closed" now but used to be open, accept money, and fail to complete orders. I sent multiple e-mails to this guy. I even mentioned something about this situation at Radiation Records--local Anaheim punk epicenter--and Nat knew that hardcoreholocaust guy to be a fraud. I just wish I knew about paypal buyer protection or whatever when this guy ripped me off. It was only for approximately 15 dollars but the principal of the matter is what really counts in this particular situation. Fuck this guy.

the weird thing is that I'm pretty sure that hardcore holocaust used to be legit. I never had any problems ordering from them in the past, but I've been hearing about this nonsense for the last few years or so.

Pretty sure I have been ripped off by Discogs user Llama_Thrash, real name Steven Tindira. I bought the Lt. Dan - Grind Collection Pt. 1 from him and the scan that he uploaded to Discogs is the same number (32) as the one I got from him, but the one he sent me is very obviously xeroxed because the white space between the the lines of the number 2 is gone; he tried to cover this up by marking the number with marker but he only traced the inside of it so you can still see the xeroxed number outside the marker line. Also bought a THC/Gorgonized Dorks tape which is supposed to be hand-numbered, but the number is again part of the xerox and he didn't even try to cover this one up. The paper is red and there is no writing on the tape unlike the one I have seen for sale at Opaqus Records' webstore. I also got the Lt. Dan/Misanthropic Noise tape, LD/PizzaHiFive CDr, LD/Stabbed in the Face/Shit Life CDr and LD/Slaughtergrave CDr from him, but I can't tell if they are fake. They look legit as far as I can tell but I'm not sure. He threw in a bunch of extra CDrs but I don't really care if they are boots or not. I'll upload scans of everything tomorrow and show the pics from Discogs for comparison. Hopefully someone on here can help me out.

The THC/GD tape looks way too long, I'm pretty sure it's like a c-8, and mine does have writing on it.

aaron put out the live ph5/lt dan split so send him a message. i personally got pizzzahifive their copies and carried in my distro, and that's exactly how the cdr's looked. it's probably 'official'.
the lt dan/slaughtergrave cdr looks a lot more legit than the copy I have. marco/Human Discount is legit from experience, so you are probably safe there.
something about that lt. dan collection stinks.

Oh I just realized I fucked up the link to the detail on the Lt. Dan collection number. here: So obvious it hurts. I just want to make sure everything else is legit, not so much worried about the CDrs but an opinion on the Misanthropic Noise split would be nice. It looks way too long to me and I read on some guys tradelist that his was on a clear tape, but more info would be appreciated. I messaged Dooley, Cody, and Aaron about these but nobody has gotten back to me yet. I want to confirm everything before I report this guy to Discogs(and Paypal if everyone gets back to me soon enough.)

Cody got back to me, everything but the PH5 and Slaughtergrave split CDrs are boots. It's hammer time.

Misanthropic Noise/Lt. Dan is a clear tape, with sharpie writing on the one side, got mine from Dooley. also the original tape is both bands on both sides I believe, or maybe that was the HSW split.

You already have your answer, but I can provide some details... I got a boot a while back, and I contacted Aaron to try to get a genuine copy. All originals have white covers. Aaron did make 5 each of red, green, and yellow covers, and he wrote "Bootleg" as the copy number on each of them (and they went to a notorious bootlegger already mentioned in this thread). I got a yellow cover, and the writing appears to have been done with a sharpie and the ink bled through to the back. Looking at your picture, it looks like the person tried to pass it off as copy# 8 by whiting out the "B" and "tleg" - if the ink hasn't bled through, it's a photocopied cover. The tape I got is an unlabeled c-62. I got an original from Ben Viele. White cover, with the copy number written in blue ink - no bleed through but you can feel where the pen indented the paper. The tape is a white c-8. "THC" is written with a blue sharpie and "blunt force" is written in black sharpie on one side, on the other side, "G D" is painted in what I believe is purple nail polish. I know Aaron reads this board, so he can correct me on any inaccuracies or misunderstandings.

I'm pretty sure all of those sleeves were printed on red paper, but I could be wrong. That was for the THC/Lt Dan tour, if I remember correctly, so Aaron would probably know better.

Might be a long shot, but can anyone identify either of these as legit or boots? Cover doesn't match on the MT/HC tape, it's missing the band's logos..(it also has hand drawn labels on the tape instead of the printed ones pictured on Discogs) and I have no point of reference on the actual Rot/Voltifobia tape (it's on a TDK AD90 w/ hand written labels).. my copy: discogs: www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=3530387Seller said, "purchased them myself (one owner) around 1997/1998 from overseas distros. (mink records japan)"... Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like this is the thread to get the help I need... I have three tapes, two of which I know are boots, and one that I am 95% sure is a boot. What am I am looking for is who originally released them or if genuine copies are evan available. I can't seem to find anything concrete on any of them.

if you're buying cd-rs it doesn't matter if they're boots or not. that's what you get for buying cd-rs.
