Does Gate have much other stuff? How much of it is awesome recording quality? That stuff on the CD is like near-Assuck quality.

The blogosphere has failed me on the EP. Bah. I'd totally buy a Gate LP or split LP. Who's releasing that? They should do a split LP with Cellgraft.

What distro's carry AMP releases in the states?
-Retaliation - Cost of Redemption -Hip Cops - split 7" with Gate -Simbiose - Fake Dimension (if you haven't heard this, it's every bit as good as Nashgul!) -Magrudergrind - s/t (I now hate Magrudergrind - the sound on this full length is pretty much exactly what I want my new project to sound like, 'cept w/ dual vocals and a hair o' ENT. Swede death guitar & powerviolence. Beautiful. Don't know how I missed this!)

Man I totally can't stomach Magrudergrind's new album. I LOVE the guitar tone, but the album as a whole was a disappointment for me. I wish Rehashed had the recording job/guitar tone of this album.

So my mom confiscated my turntables, w-wiggity wack.
The thing about Magrudergrind to me is that when you listen to all their stuff, nothing in particular seems to stand out. There's a lot of different sounding stuff (three guitarists over the course of their career) and a lot of it's great, but I kind of wish there was that one thing they did that I could say "This kicks ass the most out of all their material. This is the one."

I remember reading Josh Martin tell the story once about how they did acid when they recorded it and it kept him awake all night, then he went to work and once it wore off, he fell asleep on his desk and started snoring really loud. He got fired from his job that day.

It doesn't sound like the 100+ other Magrudergrind songs I have on the 'pod... But I like it. It's like Magrudergrind's tribute LP to 'The Sound of Nasum'. This is the one." The Magrudergrind split with Shitstorm. I shit you not, it was buying that split CD off of ebay after selling some records that got me interested in grind again. Both searching out new stuff to listen to, and wanting to play some grind guitar again. Was there a new guitarist between Rehashed and S/T? Or were the line up changes earlier?

Nope, that was a straight transition. The split with Shitstorm is actually the most boring stuff to me. I like really eclectic songs.
