People on craigslist telling me to call them in their e-mail response. Why would I want to call you after we're already e-mailing? I hate talking on the phone, especially with people I don't know.

Because talking on the phone is faster than sending emails back and forth.

Obviously. But if I'm using craigslist in the first place, speed and convenience aren't really the top priority. Not to mention people on craiglist are fucking weird, and I wouldn't want to talk to most of them, especially if I'm not planning on meeting them.

I agree with you that people on Craigslist are bad weird but I would think trying to find something you want to buy then it would be the most convenient way to go (disregard that if you're trying to sell something)... I dunno, I don't really get bothered by weirdos of any kind much either. *shrug*

I can never think of anything meaningful to say in these situations so I may as well go with the old standard: Sorry to hear about that dude.

I went to a Chinese place for lunch today and the girl accidentally rang me up for $57.00 the first time instead of $5.70. I thought she voided it and thought nothing of it until I notice I have transactions for both -$57.00 AND -$5.70 from that place today. Going to fix this problem now...

I did a lot of running around to get proof only to be told it takes 24 hours to void when I get there. On a night where it's been raining all day and the roads are flooded no less. God damn sometimes I hate life.

Massive flooding all over New England. My town is in a state of emergency. Towns in Rhode Island have gotten up to 8 inches of rain. The Warwick Mall parking lot is flooded out the ass. Various roads in my area are rivers and some are blocked off in areas. And despite all this I had to fucking work in this shit today!

A couple revisions to that:
1) The fact that the Warwick Mall parking lot is flooded actually rules. 2) The Weather Channel is showing tons of footage from various towns in Rhode Island, and Mike Seidel is in Cranston. That also rules.

I took this picture of the river that runs behind my apartment building. It's seriously fucking flooded right now! This is Oaklawn Ave in Cranston probably about 11 this morning. I can only imagine it's gotten worse now.

we had some gnarly flooding here in atlanta a while back. the loading dock at the warehouse where we have shows filled all the way up (4 - 5ft of water!) and came in through the roll-up doors... about 6 in. of water inside... some of the dudes who lived there had there record collections on the floor... bad news. heres freedom parkway, pretty major intersection/area downtown... its usually busy as fuck during rush hour six flags downtown connector

That is pretty fucked actually, all the cars just driving down the ramp into the deathtrap in that first one... I didn't know Atlanta had a Six Flags either.
There's a bridge right around the corner from where I live that's closed off due to the river in the first picture flooding over it. Normally I would hop over there to get to 95 and take that north for a few exits to go to work, but I went to route 1 instead. Turns out they closed 95 northbound past the 295 exit (which is the first exit I pass after I get on the highway) so everyone that would normally use 95 had to get on route 1 also! What a parking lot. It took me 40 minutes to do a drive that would normally take 10, if that. Then when I get to work it becomes pretty obvious we're not going to be able to do much today. It's not raining anymore but everything is still flooded as fuck and the traffic is just awful as a result. So I have work for tomorrow, let's hope this clears out somewhat in the meantime... probably not.
Also, the river they're talking about that has the most flooding issues (Pawtuxet) runs pretty close to where I live. I know where it runs right under 95 and one of the guys I work with who was coming from a northbound direction told me that it took him a seriously long ass time to get past that area. I can only imagine how much water has seeped onto 95 at this point.
