Manitoba's own relentless mincers return, this time to split heads half way round the world with Onanizer, from Czech Republic. You can hear two of the tracks (Salacious Cephalopod and Special Infection) on Archagathus' page. www.myspace.com/archagathuswww.myspace.com/onanizerThis should be out around March, in time for Onanizer's European tour. Other label (Pan del Muerte) news: Black Hole of Calcutta 7" artwork is in, waiting on the a side to be switched out. SMG/The Wurst 7" is in limbo until I hear from Randy, haha. I should also have copies of Casket Blaster/Knifethruhead and Repulsione/Terror of Dynamite Attack within the next few months as well. www.myspace.com/pandelmuerterecords

Aren't you the (or 'a'?) Canadian co presser on this, Nick? Did you make a final label name choice?

You've never heard of the CGLA? It's the fictional Canadian parent organization for my U.S.-based 'Good Beer for Canadians' charity.
Say it with me: GO GOOD BEER 4 CANS!!!! I'm going to make t-shirts eventually. All proceeds will go to providing quality beer for Canadian bands playing in Appleton, WI.

hm, well, it might be a misleading plea saying "OUR BEER IS AS GOOD AS YOURS... ONCE YOU DRINK 4 CANS!"

Good Beer for Canadians is also dedicated to stomping out that terrible terrible lie. Good American beer is as good as the good beer from any other country.
But it's also a flexible foundation, realising that sometimes German or Czech Pilsner's might need to be provided, or quality English ales. We're not pro-american beer, we are pro-quality beer for Canadians!

yes, i have had my fair share of actually good american beer (blue moon, sierra nevada), so there is no question the quality can be had. it's just the cheap shit (that shouldn't be drank anyways) that sucks even more than here!

Like fast, crusty grind. I can't really think of anyone to compare them to. I'm not good at describing bands, haha. Looks like I'll have to work on that.

don't think I've ever heard Onanizer. I will check them out later, but what do they sound like? Massive variety of grind vocal styles, frantic drumming, mid to hyper paced grind with crusty parts (no sludge, not really any peevee jazzy/odd parts or noise). Tight distorted guitar sound... Band overall is very tight. Very low on metal influence - not really any solos or runs. High quality production without sounding sterile. Grade A awesome grindcore.
