I'm expecting a lot of you to say that your fav. music format is vinyl. As much as I really like vinyl, i'm realizing that I have a tape fetish. there is something that i can't quite describe that i like about tapes.

I wouldn't get anywhere without tapes. It's the only way I've ever been able to listen to (good) music while I'm driving. Plus they're the one of the hardest formats to break, excluding mp3's and shit. You can get them as dirty as you want, throw them around, really just act like a huge dick towards them, and they'll still play for you.

yeah, i enjoy tapes more it seems. vinyl with great packaging is always awesome, but tapes are ultimately cheaper and appeal to me more

I fuckin' hate tapes. They stretch out and eventually start to sound like crap, and the whole rewinding thing... I love vinyl, but I mostly listen to music on CD just for the convenience factor. As for driving, I have an 8GB memory card in my PDA so I just use a bluetooth stereo headset in the car. Then I can rock and answer a call if I get one while driving. What can I say, I love technology.

No contract = full retail price!
Haha.
I work in tech support so I don't really have a way to help you out, maybe if I worked in sales or something... Basically once you discount a phone past a certain dollar amount, a supervisor has to approve the order.

As much as I hate to admit it...I am into MP3s as of late. I get files to review for my 'zine and it is so easy. I don't have to worry about storing tons of plastic, and the bands have no postage expenses. Of course, if I like something I will buy the wax if it is available.

I work in a call center. We don't keep any of the devices here. We just take inbound calls all day. We don't see customers or keep any of the phones here.

I worked in a call center for two years. Wasn't worth it! I'm going to hopefully be working at an ebay support centre when I move to Vancouver. It's like IM support, so typing to people instead of on the phone. Can't wait. Pays well too. I might work nights, pays way better.

Yeah working in a call center kinda blows but nobody else in this town is gonna pay me even close to what they pay me. Will, are you saying you want to use one of my old phones?

you got any that are in working condition? mine is so old that the buttons don't really work, and it's hard to check my voicemail because i put in the wrong code by accident. and i don't want to sign up for another 2 year contract. pretty sure mine expired last spring and i'm month to month now.

I've got an LG 8600 that's kinda tricky to get charging and the volume key doesn't work. Also have an ancient Samsung that works perfectly.

It's a shame, but I mainly use MP3's, which I burn to CD. They sound horrible compared to vinyl, or even tape, but are the most convenient. Any time I'm just at home, I like vinyzzle, and the occasional listen on my few tapes.
