You could always look into snare stands for people that stand up and play, you'd get hella height out of those. that's an awesome idea! I think it has something to do with how high I sit, whenever I let other people borrow my throne I find they are sitting a lot lower.

normal-ass ernie ball 010s in the lime green packet. i not only like the sound of tuning down, but the loose strings, too. I use .010 gauge as well, but D'Addarios. And I don't downtune either. I never had much luck with Ernie Balls, until recently I was the type to break a lot of strings anyway, but I think I've broken three A strings in like, five days that were all Ernie Ball sacks of shit.

Most Ernie Balls and D'Addario's are made of the same stuff and wound the same way, you sure your saddles aren't starting to wear down or anything? Wound strings shouldn't break like that unless they're rusty, or if you're using a screwdriver for a pick. Anyways, my favorite strings to use are probably Dunlop Heavy Core .11-12 gauge strings, never ever had a problem with 'em.

live. i want to try that with the other guitar using a 4x12 + 2x15 for rhythm. i'm thinking i'll just cut a custom baffle for 10"s and put that in a regular guitar cab and see how it sounds maybe.

I want to hook up an Ibanez Smash Box to every amp powering those speakers and make the loudest, most god-awful noise imaginable.

Tube head wattage vs. solid state wattage. My Ibanez Toneblaster is a 150 watt head and I've been keeping the volume at around 8.5 for shows. Been thinking about splurging on an Orange head if I get a good enough tax return. In tube wattage, what compares with a 150 watt solid state head?

I'd say 50w is plenty. Power tube saturation is fairly easier to attain, and is usually more than loud enough. Which Orange heads are you looking at? I really liked the TH50 I tried out, but ended up deciding on a EVH 5150 III instead. Can't wait to have that thing paid off...
Also, are you planning on getting rid of your SS head? If not, then somewhere down the road you should acquire an ABY switch and run your SS rig next to your tube rig, the sounds you can get are quite excellent. Right now I'm using a Crate Shockwave/Avatar Custom 4x12 with the mids scooped a bit + Mesa Dual Rec/Sunn 4x12 with the mids boosted, and I sound like three guitar players.
