It's funny how this show seems like it SHOULD be right up my alley and yet I like 0/5 of those bands...

I don't hate 'em... they just don't really do it for me. Haven't listened on my own in years.

I love DY, but the singer doesn't bring it live. I love Draize. Certified Rippers.

I love DY, but the singer doesn't bring it live. Really? That's so weird to me. His vocals are some of the most pissed-sounding I can think of. Bummer.

Its fairly ripping other than both vocalists, who seem like they don't want to be there. Monster drummer. But really I'm talking about the live show, but its true about the records too. The og singer just kinda talks loud, and the newer singer is Cynthia from GASP and she is just as if not more bored.

Hmmmm... maybe i'm NOT all that bummed that the vocals were cutting out super bad when we played with them then. They killed it, I would have been really disappointed had the vocals not been ripping.

It's true that the vocals are nowhere near as brutal live but I would still rate DY as 100% worth seeing live if you get a chance

Draize's drummer is a god damn monster too. CTTF not so much.

The drums sound really triggered on all of CTTF's material for a damn reason...

I wonder if that dude has heard all of the shit talked online about his weak drumming and gotten any better.

CTTF also "broke up" for a while cuz he joined a mall metal band and wanted to become famous or something.

I would also like to add, my drummer (who took lessons for over a decade and is really really god damn good) snarled his face last night when I mentioned the "Draize's drummer is a monster" comment to him and told him it was the same dude from Living Void. He sounds pretty good on some records, but live that dude is one of the most inconsistent blasters I've ever seen, if only his drumming was as good as his panic faces.

Since they get shit talked pretty ruthlessly on here I just wanna mention that Chainsaw to the Face are the nicest dudes ever. Carry on...

I'll add to this that I have no issue with any of the people in that band as I barely know any of them.

to separate some fact from rumors: triggers on our earlier releases? everything other than the st 7" and backslider split. yep, we never had any money for decent recording and were done by a friend of ours. more of the "sound replace" type thing though. I'm not hip on what that shit actually involves. I recorded all the amputee stuff (triggerless), and will be doing so with all future chainsaw stuff to, so that wont be there if that is something that can really stop you from enjoying stuff. I'm not a fan myself, but to each his own
quit chainsaw to get famous? no, we can get at each others throats from time to time, that was one of the times. He happened to be playing with a metal band at the time, but "get famous"? no.
wouldn't stay with your friend cause he made fun of triggers, probably other factors involved. we're introverts and don't often stay with people, don't take it personally if it happens. could be referring to some dude in ann arbor, years ago but i generally remember a fair amount of snark coming our way, so why would we want to crash with someone under those circumstances.
Probably not smart to even chime in here, but when things other than our (lack of) musicianship get brought up can't help but feel the add my 2 cents.
