What do you use? Where's your best experience been? Worst experience?
I went through United for the In Vacuo 7" and hated them.

Why'd you hate United? I'm about to place an order with them because Musicol was so hard to deal with. Had good experience with 2 LPs coming from Recordpressing.com but I think they went under.

Terrible customer service. Took forever. Pressed the record in the wrong weight. Never called me back. I had to call in every day for a week to get an answer. Then had to deal with UPS and damaged boxes and an awesome brokerage fee.
As far as I know recordpressing.com is still a go. I called them recently for a quote on a project.

RecordPressing.com somehow didn't do my color vinyl at all, I guess they had communication problems with the Czech plant.

i've used United, in the past, and had no trouble. this was, however, many years ago. Aardvark Record Mastering has a pretty good rep., and is a great spot for links and industry info. I know that one of the issues that had been pissing people off, was that the stampers were were breaking at an unacceptable rate. Read Aardvark's submission ragarding that issue ; Special Concerns with United. they have a nice list of press plant resources at; www.aardvarkmastering.com/prestext.htm.

Mesrine/PLF 7" is Aadvark and United for comparison.
RecordPressing.com is done at the Czech plant, yes.

Aardvark is good for mastering for sure. Though they didn't do the special stuff I asked for (even though it's listed as "available for no extra charge" on their website).

also, i'll never bother with pirate. i know they use GZ too, but i've been hearing complaints lately about the sound quality on their vinyl. my Giuda LP that was pressed there doesn't even fucking play! it skips soooooo bad.
