nice get on that laney head, especially for the price! I looked up the multi-FX last night too, it's a Korg ToneWorks AX5G... Not a great modeling pedal, but it's got amp + cab simulators, so I might keep that bit to use for recording. Dropped the shitty 2x12 combo at the pawn for $40 cash. Tobin from CYP needs a cheap 4x12. Also set up my 2x12 and the laney where the 1x12 combo used to be! Gonna make some unholy NOISE today. EVERYBODY HAPPY! I bought a Peavy Patriot bass for $80 just to fuck around with. Nice feeling bass. A guy on another board built a VI bass out of a telecaster and a Dano longhorn bass neck... So tempted to trade + buy the parts to make one, it sounds pretty sick, and has to be lighter than my Epi. Nothing like a nice cheap project guitar or bass to mod!!!

I've got a Seymour Duncan Invader in my grindoom guitar. I find it a little harsh/ ceramic at times, but installed a thicker sounding tone cap and am loving it for practice and recording now.
GFS Wild Dog mini HB in an SG Jr knockoff... Ultra thick, if it was a reg sized HB, I'd get another to try in other guitars.
Gibson Dirty Fingers in a semi-hollow Delonge Epiphone - that's going on ebay this week, tho I love that pickup, I never got to liking the bigger guitar body.
DiMarzio Air Norton looking for a guitar to go in. Great alnico crunch. Prob going to go in a Bass VI project I'll get to later this year.
My favorite pickups are the stock overwound Univox pickups in my Hi Flyer... More for punk rock than grind, but they just sound amazing.
One more project; Epi P100 turned into LOUD single coil for bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan P-90 for neck in a LP Jr. / Melody Maker knockoff. That's going to sound sweet when I get to it too!

The Invader has SOOOOO much body. I love it. It has the brute force of a P-90 with the bite and clarity of a humbucker.

i have an invader i'm looking to install into a late 80's early 90's jackson concept v, it's actually a randy rhodes V but this was made prior to them receiving the rights to use his name, can't wait to shred it!
also: anybody got some noise gear they want to sell? various pedals, atari punk consoles, etc. i'm looking to make a mini-noise rig w/ 4-5 pedals and my practice amp for between song noise parts on certain occasions.

All three^^^.
Like I said, I find the Invader to be harsh or shrill-metallic in a bad way at times. With a good tone cap and high quality pots it definitely works. Don't know if I'd get a special guitar + the pickup to try one tho. I'd go for a Bare Knuckles pickup before spending the $ on another Invader. But the good thing for grinders + punks is you can always find a used invader or detonator cheap.
If you like loud p-90's, get an epi or gibson p-100 and jumper or unjumper the two coils. Turns into a crazy high output 'p-90' single coil. As much output as the Invader or similiar...

didn't saw too much godin guitars before good pickup and no useless things added btw everybody: which pickups do you preffer ?? Its a really great guitar. They're a canadian company. All the guitars are manufactured in Quebec or one shop in New Hampshire. I love the tone I get out of it. Its perfect for grind.

A/B Y's rule. So many functions in one pedal that doesn't even need a power supply.

I'd heard bad things about the Morley, so I grabbed the Radial Bigshot. Haven't had any issues.

Awesome dude, I've been wanting to pick up an eq pedal for a while, but don't know much about them. I guess this would be a good place to ask though.

quite a few of my friends have suggested that I try one and I was just waiting for a cheap one to show up. I can't imagine they'd be that much different between brands/models, but then again, I could be totally wrong!

anyone using jackson warrior ?? some oppinions ?? i'm wondering of 3rd guitar... i have a couple friends that live and die by those guitars. I've never played one personally, though they are one of the few "metal" looking guitars i would play, that body style is sweet.
