Propagandhi

Hahaha, well. Propagandhi was one of the first punkish type bands I ever got into. I still listen to How to Clean Everything once in a blue moon, but yeah, if I was hearing them for the first time now I'd hate it.

Speaking of punk bands: The Ramones re: Propagandhi How to Clean Everything was a formative record for me and I do still jam it every once in a while, it's a good album. Never cared for anything else they did though. I imagine that the love they get in Canada is probably suuuuuper annoying. re: Toxic Holocaust I never really listened to this band until Overdose of Death came out and I got roped in by the fact that Donny Paycheck from Zeke played drums on that record. It's got a couple mid paced jams that I enjoy but anything else I've ever heard has been pretty fucking boring and not at all worth the hype they get.

I never thought that anyone loved Toxic Holocaust, but they were alright live when I saw them. Maybe it's because the other bands were Darkest Hour and At The Gates, and they seemed a lot better in comparison.

Just ordered their new album last night. They are on an absolute garbage label, but I've always liked them.

that last Gaza album pissed me off so much o hey heres a sick riff, they play it for two seconds and then play a shitty riff for 30 seconds. that record blue balled me pretty hard. I hear this new one and there first are good but that second album was fucking DUMB.

The first album is really frantic sounding, most people prefer it over the second. I haven't heard this new one yet.

The few songs I've heard from the new one were pretty decent. Everything else I've hated for the same reason Seth stated above. If you're going to suck, suck the whole time so I can maybe convince myself down the road that it was your intention. DON'T TEASE ME BRO

not really, also file under nu-grind This song from the new album is pretty sick. Ive never heard anyone call Gaza grindcore, if I did I would think much lower of them. I guess I have a hard on for frantic metalcore.

I watched Gaza at Dudefest a few years ago for maybe a minute tops and walked out.

I think a lot of the metal magazines have slapped "grind" labels on them but these are the same publications that think Napalm Death is still relevant and that the new Pig Destroyer is going to be the best grind album ever released. I've always considered them more sludgy than anything else.
edit: Also I've always liked this song from the first album because its just a bunch of animal noises and other weird noises.
