Yeah, it's a hot sauce thread! I know most of you love the sauce, so post some of yr faves w/ micro reviews. Two of my faves: Valentina - reminds me of chorizo flavoring? Excellent. Extra Hot is just hot. Made in Mexico. Kajun Fire Habenero - good flavor, not just nuke hot. And cheap - found it at Dollar Tree. (They have a cayenne, but it sucks. All heat, no flavor.) Not pictured, cuz I'm out... Pick-A-Peppa sauce. Makes A1 taste like ketchup. So good. Need to go to the store that carries this.

Word, Sriracha is the stand by. There's another I've had a few times, Cholula, that's not bad either. I don't use a whole lot at home, but at one of the restaurants I work at we do a ghost chile hot sauce that's pretty gnarly.

I only recently got hip to Tapatio, since I opted for the table sauce over the house sauce of my favorite taqueria. I like it way better than Cholula (which I dig at Hot Head from time to time), lots of flavor and nice heat.

Any hot sauce endorsed by a mexican man with a mustache is usually good I've found.

Valentina - reminds me of chorizo flavoring? Excellent. Extra Hot is just hot. Made in Mexico. This is my hot drug of choice! I always get a super big bottle.

Man, I can't count how many bottles of Sriracha we snagged from restaurants when we was young punks. Sriracha, black fungus, and huge cheap bottles of cooking rice wine make me miss the Oriental Food store here so much... The strip mall that it was in, also w/ the best Mexican restaurant Rapids ever had, burned down a few years back. Oh and I only ever get the extra hot flavor of it. I've never bought the hot Valentina sauce either. And; IT COMES IN BIGGER BOTTLES??? I buy them two at a time so I don't run out!

Both of my bottles of Sriracha have been courtesy of Noodles & Company.

I tried really hard to find a picture of this hot sauce I got in Costa Rica, but it's nearly impossible. the company doesn't export either, but I think it was called Tizoncito, and it's the best shit I ever had. It was almost slightly gelatinous and reminiscent of jam because all the seeds were suspended in it.

Aside from Sriracha, Trappey's was always one of my favorites because it has a little more of a vinegary taste to it. Definitely not the hottest, but it's got some good flavor going on. It has red 40 though, and that shit sucks.

frank's red hot is a perfect cayenne sauce, right amount of heat, spice, and vinegar flavor. (the original sauce used for the "buffalo" wing sauce recipe which is great on tofu, tempeh, or seitan too)
Melinda's is an all natural preservative free habeƱaro sauce that also balances heat and flavor perfectly.

sriracha is the best in my book. any louisiana style hot sauce is legit though (trappey's etc.)
i was stuck on gold's wasabi sauce for a while. shit is amazing on sandwiches. i made s spicy sandwich spread the other day by mixing sriracha and mayo and then funneling it back into an empty sriracha bottle. yum.

I made some great hot sauce with carrots instead of tomatoes. I used habaneros and caribbean hot peppers so its fucking insane, but it still has some great flavor.
