So the past couple months I've been trying to undo the mistakes of my past by watching all of the great 80/90's action flicks that I never saw. you should also check out: Russell: Escape from NY Also: Predator 2 I've referenced this list in the past few weeks when looking for movies to check out and I can't believe you recommended me Predator 2 (horrible movie) but not Escape from LA. Escape from LA was pure glorious, macho cheese, fucking loved it.

P2 would still make sense as a movie even if there weren't any Predators in it.

forgot I watched True Romance the other day, I wasn't paying much attention to it but it seemed really good, going to have to watch it for real again soon.

I actually never saw escape from LA. i kind of assumed it would be bogus but i guess i should check it out. i was going to try and defend predator 2 but i haven't watched it in forever so i can't really say whether it's any good now. i remembered enjoying it but probably mostly for the ridiculousness of danny glover being able to kill the predator.

Hobo with a Shotgun, fucking awesome. Saw the ad for that, looked like it would be decent. I watched The Pacific over the weekend. Brutal stuff. Don't know if it's got as much rewatch value as Band Of Brothers does.

The Pacific was a great mini series. I found the random sex scenes interesting.
I still think Band of Brothers was a bit better, but both were good.

both were definitely good. but I think Band of Brothers was a little more consistent in terms of complete enjoyment.

I feel like the Escape from movies are the Evil Dead's of action films. The first one was good, had a slightly more serious tone. Then the second comes along, which amounts to nearly a remake (plots almost identical) but everything is completely absurd and over the top. I watched it online then ordered it off of Amazon on bluray the day after, it seriously fucking rules. As long as you go into watching it not expecting it to be anything like the first and super ridiculous, not really believable but really rad action scenes don't turn you off there is no way you can't like this movie.

well that comparison sold me as evil dead and evil dead 2 are two of my favorite movies ever.

both were definitely good. but I think Band of Brothers was a little more consistent in terms of complete enjoyment. I agree 100% The first few episodes of band of brothers where the slowest of the whole series, but they were need to build characters. The rest of the show was full force. The Pacific had a few random slow episodes that kinda ruin the total feel. But I thought the continuation of the men going home after the war was a nice way of completing the series.

The Human Centipede is pretty great. Dogtooth was amazing (like Taylor said) One of my favorites from last year. Also The Black Swan.
Just watched Scream 4. It was so horrible. Who couldn't guess that though?

Just watched Scream 4. It was so horrible. Who couldn't guess that though? really? i was hoping it would have been at least on par with 3 (and that was really shitty). oh well. will still watch it. the original is the best. i knew every line of that movie when i was a kid.

I don't really remember Scream 3. I'm pretty sure I hated it. I did enjoy the first one though. I also tried watching Star Wars Episode 2 today. That was even worse than I remembered.

I used to have quite the Criterion Collection until I lost my job and sold them all, well, most of them. Barnes and Noble seems to have half-off Criterion Sales often.

Hobo with a Shotgun, fucking awesome. That was filmed here, a bunch of my friends are the punx in the movie. It's pretty good, the best gore is definitely during the final scene.

Saw Bram Stoker's Dracula for the first time. There's a lot more female masturbation than I remember in the book.
