Correction: I should have a girlfriend. I've been single/saucy/forever alone for six months now.

Man, you know what I really hate? When you know someone online, then when they see you in person they pretend they don't know you because they're too embarrassed to say anything. I've been that guy so many times that's just flat out walked up to people and said "Hey, I'm that guy you know from the Internet" that I don't even see what the big deal is. It would be one thing if the person in question didn't like me, that I would definitely respect. But I haven't seen any evidence of that, so what the hell is that all about?

The running + screaming method has always proved effective for me, you guys are just screaming the wrong things I guess.

I really like this place and for that reason just try to keep up on who everyone is when they decide to make this place their home, it's pretty rare that this board attracts total fuckheads so I do like to make people feel included whenever possible.

I can say with absolute certainty that I'll never help a "friend" get a job ever again. Ugh.

I can say with absolute certainty that I'll never help a "friend" get a job ever again. Ugh. Been there. In the past, whenever I've needed a steady job, I've actually refused offers from friends who've said they could get me a job. Now, if their offer is "hey, yeah, just give me your resume and I'll hand it to the manager/boss man", that's different, but when it seems like they will go out of their way to pull strings and get me something a little too special for my level of experience, I kindly refuse. I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to potentially mess something up and get them in serious shit.

It's not a matter of any of that, he got no special treatment and had to apply and get approved like everyone else. It's a fact that I work an extremely simple job and he always showed up late and called out and literally quit an hour before his shift on Friday because he wanted to go hang out with his friends. He tried to get my coworker to lie and say he was at the beach that day when he had no intention of showing up whatsoever and more than once asked me to cover for him and say he was actually there when he was running late. What the fuck kind of asshole friend asks a person to lie to their employer at absolutely no benefit to you whatsoever?
