I am totally guilty of being a nerd that will call out other nerds. 7 long boxes of comics and I make fun of tabletop gamers, haha. I'm in so deep in this that the only people i can still barely make fun of are MTG players, hah. Excuse me but i'll have to paint some Tyranids now. I only just read these posts and, as someone who plays MTG, I will fight you guys and I will flex my muscles whenever I become bored with annihilating you two.

TPK'd the Wizard + Rogue on the LAST DIE ROLL of the dungeon. Literally, if the Rogue would have hit a necromancer-haunt that had 3 measly hit points left, just hit him, they would have leveled + gotten major treasure on an off week. Instead the guy playing the Warlord-Cleric is going to be WTF when he's gotta recruit new mooks. Geekdom rules.

I hope every person in the South (or anywhere for that matter, but I assume this is a South-only thing) with any type of memorabilia that reads "The South Will Rise Again" falls into a meat grinder Pink Floyd's The Wall style

I saw a guy's car in Raleigh once that had stickers on it about how he was proud to be a redneck and how "happiness is a northbound Yankee" and other such things (there was probably enough on this car to get it some notoriety on the Internet if you could get a picture). I'm sure he was thrilled when I rolled up next to him with my Rhode Island plates.
And the south won't rise again, but it is a place far better equipped to handle an apocalypse. If it ever gets bad enough for the shit to hit the fan, you'll see me in the Carolinas again right away. No way I'm staying in a place this densely populated.

The more I think about it, the less I feel sympathetic for those with poor images of themselves, and more annoyed that they aren't doing anything to fix it.

I suspect the dude subletting a room in my house has a fecal fetish, but I'm afraid to straight up call him out in person because we have so much traffic through this house, bands staying, drunk friends, etc. Subconsciously I might be maintaining a passive stance on this partially because he's an outsider to our close group and probably already feels out of place with a bunch of punks running around willy nilly. I don't want to make him uncomfortable if it can be avoided, and I only have circumstantial evidence that points in his direction...which isn't going to make a difference when I eventually blow up and lose my shit (no pun intended) the next time something weird happens.
Poop count thus far over the last 2 or so weeks:
1. dook chunk on the toilet paper roll (wrote that off as a gross drunk person with poor asswiping skills, discarded poo paper and pretty much forgot about it) 2. I have the burliest electric toothbrush ever. Went to use it and the handle was sticky/tacky in a very familiar and frightening way. The sniff test also came back positive for BUTT. --> This is where the true and renewed anger/hatred for humanity began building, talks were had with the other permanent members of the house. I don't believe this was a personal ass attack, but just a weird dude doing weird stuff. 3. Lurking near the bathroom door when people are in it dropping bombs, and then scuttling away without going in after they emerge.
There are a lot of strange things about his personality, behavior, and mannerisms that aren't helping me to vote for his innocence. I've woken up to see my bedroom door opening, and him scurrying away when I start moving/making noise. My room is off the kitchen, and he often just stands in my line of sight...doing nothing. Boiling water and staring at it. Not for tea, not for anything as far as I can tell. He just lurks and stares. I thought maybe he was on drugs, but besides being weird he doesn't seem like he's on anything. Either way I don't want to find a pile of shit in the bottom of my laundry basket or under my bed at some point.
I got home after crashing at a friend's house last night, and it looks like someone poured coffee in my cat's food bowl. It probably wasn't poo water, but what if? I'm torn between waiting to catch him doing something red-handed and just kicking him out to avoid something actually harmful befalling my household or pets. Nobody really knew the dude before he came into the house, and we've never had issues like this before.

Fairly EPIC: What. The. Fuck!?! Worse roomie I ever had liked to set stuff on fire and then pass out drunk and piss himself... He kept the fire-starting to outside, but we still kicked his ass out...

Just confront him about it. In a cool maner and just ask him strate out. Why wait for the shit to hit the fan.... (pun intended)

I could make a post in this thread about people behind the wheel almost daily (or at least everyday that I drive somewhere). Considering that it is nearly the only contact I have with average people it is a constant reminder as to why it is nearly the only contact I have with average people.

I went to a bar tonight. I don't even think I was in there 60 seconds before leaving.

I'm so fucking sick of accepting the blame for other peoples faults.
I don't know why I put up with anything.
I am just as worthless as all the people I hate, or at least I have been for quite some time.

I want to punch pretty much every person I have come across today at work. Some douchebag Floor supervisor who is my equal at work from another department actually chased me across the production floor to try and bust me for wearing my hat when I was walking off the floor on my way to lunch.
I really want to quit, but the job market is so shitty here that I'm afraid I'd get stuck working a minimum wage job with no benefits.

Tell his dumb ass if you find him running across the production floor again for something so mind-fuckingly stupid, you'll report him cuz it's a hazard in the work enviroment. And then go report him anyways. You get that shit on paper once, he'll leave you alone forever, for the reasons you mention in paragraph 2.

it's so easy to hate people. it's much harder to love them all and forgive their failings. you'll all get there eventually

Depends on what kind of person you are. I think the dumber you get, the more it becomes the other way around.
I definitely don't put nearly as much emphasis on trivial shit as I used to, but the more I try to get to know people, the less I am impressed with them and their trains of thought. For the most part. There's always a few people worth holding onto and all you can really do is be grateful for that much while not letting the overpowering wave of idiocy that is the human condition knock you on your ass over and over until you just can't get up anymore.

You ever notice how it's always the people that say they're intelligent or unique or funny that are in reality the most not intelligent, unique, or funny people ever?

as a general rule, if you have to define something about yourself aloud then what you're saying is probably false.

This girl I dated in high school would always talk about how intelligent she was and how her IQ was some ridiculous number like 180 or something along those lines; she called me crying one night because she couldn't figure out an algebra problem. She was also one of the top 10 least interesting people I've ever met.

Maybe there is a correlation between IQ and interestingness.

I am almost positive I've made mention of this dude in another thread before but this seems like an applicable thread to post it in. I got behind him at a red light yesterday and got my girlfriend to take a picture. Worst pro-life argument I've heard to date.
