Sharing this for the director of the film. Looks cool.

I like the idea behind this, but I am concerned that the scope of this documentary will be pretty limited; especially considering the genre subdivisions at this point (i.e.: technical vs. old-school, etc.). The budget would have to be incredibly large to cover travel expenses to every scene worldwide. I know that it is always a tough decision to decide what to include in a film with so many options, but I am worried that this film will fall flat for many fans of the genre. I'm interested to see the final product, either way.

You don't need a kickstarter doc to tell you what grind is about. Start a band and find out.

Of course! I can't wait for him to describe how Napalm Death sounded in the late 80s.

The two words "Kickstarter documentary" put together are enough to cause nuclear fission in arid climates

Don't care. If PHF isn't involved it isn't about modern grindcore.

Just watched it. None of you recognized Dave Witte in that?!??
Fuck the Facts was in there. The woman who was being interviewed is their vocalist.
Not sure who else was in there, but you all know Goatwhore's vocalist was also in Soilent Green, right? There's some relevancy there.
Makes sense that all of those people would be filmed already, given how much touring they do. And FTF is from Canada, so duh.
Btw Archagathus better be in this, too.

Witte hasn't done anything remotely interesting in like... 15 years? And that's if you actually think DA is worth a shit.

Well the same can be said even moreso for Napalm Death. Which isn't to say he's anywhere on their level of influence. Other than didn't he fill in for Rob proctor in Assuck for a bit?

I was more responding to the incredulity community slugs seemed to have that no one recognized dave witte, as opposed to whether or not he should have been interviewed at all.

Rob filled in for Dave on the first Discordance Axis tour, as seen here with Merzbow joining them on stage:

to be fair, Dave with a beard isn't how I remember him in DA and Burnt By the Sun. Had to go back and really scrutinize. Dude rules and is super nice but Muni Waste blows.

I still stand behind MW prior to the Dave Witte years. Burnt by the Sun was one of the first shows I ever went to... not really feeling it these days.
Also, Fuck the Facts is the shittiest pile of fuck ever. I remember actually laughing out loud when I saw them maybe 8 years ago. Usually when a band is named after a Naked City song, that tells me they're really, really bad.

I remember not liking them but couldn't remember how they sounded so I just watched a video and wow, if that's not the worst guitar tone I've heard.
