One of my coworkers has another job where he drives a limo and sometimes the passengers leave beers in the back. He doesn't drink beer, so he gave me a few Bud Lights with Lime. It's true: this really is the wimpiest beer out there.
But in positive news, I had some Newcastle Bombshell the other night and it was quite good.

I've yet to have that Newcastle brew. I think the pub I frequent now carries it, I'll be on the lookout. Also, during my recent trip to America's butthole (New Orleans, LA), I had a Samichlaus barleywine, and it was incredibly tasty. Probably one of the best alcoholic beverages I've had, two of them had my nerves a' tickled (14%abv).

I forgot I bought a beer that was aged in Wild Turkey barrels last weekend and never drank it. I'll probably indulge tomorrow night to help ease the woes of having an office job.

Learned that the "Rogue Ales Public House" in my mother's neighborhood offers growlers, kegs, and tasting flights of pretty much every Rogue brew. Dead Guy Ale is one of my favorites. Yippee!

Ah man, which beer is that? Only beer I've had that was brewed like that is the Rogue John John Ale. Or was it the Double Dead Guy Ale? It's one of those two... mmmmmmmmm

Couldn't remember it off the top of my head so I had to wait to get home to look at the bottle: I've had a few other barrel aged beers. Recently Great Divide released an Oak Aged variant of their Yeti, which I bought a month or two ago and absolutely fucking rules. Seriously. When I went to the liquor store and bought the above beer they apparently now have an Oak Aged Chocolate Yeti. It was a tough call, but I went with the one that would be completely new to me.

George and I toured the Anchor Steam Brewery in SF a couple years ago. I was underage at the time and they still let me have 8 free beers at 10am! Saturday=

Haven't posted in this thread in a while. It was made legal to sell growlers in Columbus earlier this year and there are officially two growler shops open downtown. One is for the local brewpub to sell their beers, and the other is a general craft beer store. I went to the general one and got one of their "make your own six pack" deals, a four-pack of Terrapin's pumpkin beer, and a growler full of some pumpkin beer from Utah.

Mix a six is fucking crucial for when you don't want to drink cheap swill and want to really splurge on some good beer.

I'm drinking PBR because it just goes so well with my purple bicycle shorts and flannel vest.

I'm not too big a fan of either Harpoon or Brooklyn breweries. I come home from work and there's a variety 12-pack of UFO (Harpoon) in the fridge, so what the fuck. Raspberry Hefeweizen is just like Leinenkugel Berry Weiss. Too damn sweet to be a beer, at least any beer that self-respecting people drink. I am not self-respecting. Down the hatch you go.

i thought the berry weiss was a little too sweet also. i am extremely self respecting but i like fruity ass beers that taste the least like shit rancid bread water up in my grill.

I have an imperial chocolate milk stout sitting in my fridge that's around 10% abv that I'll probably crack into this weekend. I bought it last weekend but didn't have a chance to drink it.

Has anyone else had Ballast Point Sculpin IPA? Its all the rage around here right now, and rightfully so, but one of the bars I frequent now has a habanero version. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm skeptical.

The only pepper-infused beer I've tried was shitty.

Green Flash hasn't made a bad beer in my experience. Haven't had that one though.

This is my "cellar" at the moment. I have had most of these aging since 2011.

Oddsides Mayan Mocha Stout has a tiny bit of habenero which you get a little more on tap than in the bottle. Great shit. GREAT SHIT!

Just had Lagunitas Hop Stoopid the other day, really enjoyed it. Despite it being 102 IBU it was really drinkable, probably because it was a farmhouse ale.

Just finished off a Sam Adams Winter seasonal sampler. I liked the White Christmas and Old Fezziwig Ale best, and enjoyed the Cherry Chocolate Bock the least.
