God Bless America was awesome, if only because of the idea behind the plot. And I still haven't seen Drive, but I haven't heard a bad review of it yet. I'll probably watch it here in a few minutes, I think it's on Netflix.
I actually just got back from seeing The Possession...it was actually pretty decent. I mean, it relied heavily on the whole dark/quiet, bright/loud dynamic to get a scare, but there were enough genuinely creepy moments in the movie to make up for it. Plot progressed pretty well, never really got bored with it...worth a rental I guess.

Is God Bless America about serial killers who target people who say something along the lines of "Your the man!"?
My boss was trying to explain this to me, but I was lost..

God Bless America is basically this dude who is divorced and has a shithead kid who won't see him, gets laid off from his job for a shitty reason and then finds out he has terminal cancer, so instead of giving up, he goes on a fucking rampage killing every person that he thinks is ruining the world.

God Bless America was pretty great. Bobcat Goldthwait makes some pretty funny movies. At least this one and World's Greatest Dad. This one seems odd. www.imdb.com/title/tt0492492/

I think I started watching it once but didn't finish it.
I dry ran There Will Be Blood at the theatre but had to leave before the ending and I still haven't finished it even though I remember liking it a lot.

I bought and watched Falling Down today. Someone said that my description of God Bless America reminded them of the movie so I decided to check it out. I enjoyed it, it was especially funny to hear the Hellnation sample while I was wearing the shirt.

I know some people that got really obsessed with Falling Down. I guess I just don't get it. I like it but I don't think it's that great.
Been trying to watch some horror stuff, this time of year always gives me a good excuse. Started the month off with Texas Chainsaw Massacre and followed it up with Frightmare.
I've already seen TCM a good amount of times and it's just a classic but it was my first time viewing Frightmare and it was pretty good. Actually I liked it quite a bit.

Frightmare rules! As does the band who named themselves after it.
I fell asleep watching Cabin in the Woods the other night, need to go back and finish it as I thought it was pretty rad up until I passed out.

Being sick is at least going to allow me to catch up on horror movies and any related supernatural stuff for the month.
I finally watched Bubba Ho-Tep last night. Currently thinking about what should go on next.

Bruce's best work in years imo. Black JFK for president.

Seth. Yeah, I think you'd dig it. A lot of action and stuff like that to keep one entertained. Taylor. I downloaded There Will Be Blood after it got brought up here and watched it. It was damn good. Haven't seen the directors new film. Have you? Was it good?

I've been contemplating ordering some new 80's shlock films because it's been a while. Adding to this urge is the fact that Humanoids from the Deep is back in print on DVD

I usually don't even give these modern remakes of horror films a chance because, with a few exceptions, they blow (some may disagree but I enjoyed the remakes of TCM, Dawn of the Dead and Hills Have Eyes). But the new Evil Dead looks like it might be a pretty decent re-imagining of the original, especially with both Raimi and Campbell onboard as producers.
