Haggard last night. I wish it didn't pimp HIM the entire soundtrack and the dialog is really cheesy, but the premise was pretty funny.
The Man with the Iron Fists tonight.

A lot of people hate it but I really like how awful and experimental the music in some of those 70/80's horror films was.

I just watched Godzilla Raids Again. Not the best film. I've been combing through youtube reviews of horror films in-between doing things around the house.
I also caved and ordered 8 schlock films off of Amazon today since they are having a sale.

Also, upon combing through my horror film collection (as one does on Halloween) I've noticed that I'm missing both the Shining and Dead Alive. Fuck everyone.

I finally finished 2001: A Space Odyssey the other day, fell asleep a few times, but each time I snapped back it didn't look like I had missed anything. Pretty enjoyable on the whole, but I felt like it could have been shorter.

Enders Game - I loved it, the movie pulls you in and keeps you guessing while letting you guess right at the same time. If you like good Sci-Fi movies go see this shit NOW. A+
Transvestite Castle - This movie is the best type of trash. A man wants to make love to his wife but his wife will only do so if he becomes a submisive woman. So he is blind folded and goes to Transvestite Castle where he makes his transfermation into a submissive woman. the next 52 minutes of the movie has its ups and downs but its an enjoyable ride. Awesome Soundtrack and the bondage scenes rule. Super trashy 81 soft erotica (no nudity) in the best of ways. (-A-) If you find yourself wanting to see this movie, I can make copys.

I have a stack of unwatched movies that I just haven't made the time to watch and I keep adding to it. I had to run by Dollar General yesterday and found a copy of Subspecies on bluray tucked in the very back of their movies.

^Dug the shit outta Pontypool. Refreshing to see a modern horror movie do something new and try and tread new ground... or at the very least not just rehash the genre's typical tropes in a half-assed way.

I saw Terminator Salvation last night for the first time (Best Buy was selling all 4 Teminators on blu ray for $20 and I couldn't resist) and I don't really understand why everyone hated it. It had some really cool special effects and some great action sequences. I think people just expect too much out of movies; not every movie can be Terminator 2.

Is Salvation the 4th one? I thought it was cool. The 3rd one on the other hand... yeesh.

Yeah, Salvation was the 4th one. The CGI Arnold at the end was pretty funny. The 3rd was a blatantly shameless cash-in, though I thought the ending with the bomb shelter was interesting.

Saw Airheads for the first time in forever. That was all kinds of special. Also been slowly making my way through this 5 disc set of Georges Méliès movies.

I watched a bunch of Chris Smith documentaries for a project I had to do recently.
4/5 - Collapse (2009) - focus on intense conspiracy theorist Michael Ruppert who discusses CIA drug smuggling, peak oil, and global revolution over the course of an intimate interview
2/5 - The Pool (2007) - follows a swimming pool obsessed Indian kid around. This is a docudrama that used non-professional actors and won some awards. I liked it the least out of all of Smith's films.
4/5 - The Yes Men (2003) - chronicles first-hand the exploits of an activist group who impersonate the WTO in order to undermine the organization. They pull off some really whacky stunts and the subjects are really candid.
3/5 - Home Movie (2001) - explores weird homes in America (crazy cat playland, Hawaiian treehouse, fully automated electric home, etc.) He finds some really weird people!
3/5 - American Movie (1999) - follows amateur filmmaker Mark Borchardt around as he attempts to make a horror movie (Coven). It's fun to see all the weird shit this dude and his pals have to do to make his dream a reality.
I couldn't find American Job (1996) streaming anywhere online, but it sounds pretty good. It's supposed to be a satirical psuedo-documentary about a guy that goes around trying out all sorts of mundane, soul-sucking jobs in his small town. Wiki says, "The film was directly inspired by the 1987 magazine "American Job" created by Randy Russell, which was a collection of job stories from low-wage workers around the United States."

Watched Rock n Rolla the other night. It was okay, but the plot twist didn't do much for me because I didn't really care much about the characters. Not like in snatch or lock, stock at least.
