By the time May is here, I will be able to start my certification for teaching physical sciences in NJ. I'm currently subbing all over the place now (K-12) but my full-time job next year would be for teaching high school physics and possibly chemistry in my county somewhere. I support this. I'm quitting my job in July to work on my post-baccalaureate studies, then applying to grad school to go for an MS focused on plant ecology. After that, I might go on to do a PhD. I'm far too much of an academic at heart for the world of real jobs.

I go to school full time. I'm in my last semester, soon to receive a BA in Mathematics with a minor in Geography. Hopefully going into social surveying after I get my degree.

Well, I think I'm going to change my work. The government made a new national "contract" for big shops like mine taking away a lot of rights. For now we're going to strike very soon, but I'm getting really tired of the situation. Hopefully I'll get out of that stinkhole for the end of thsi year...

Finished high school less than a month ago, and I'll be starting university to major in psychology in September. I hope to get a masters in psychology, but I may switch to get a masters of social work. Basically, I'm aiming to get into work related to homeless relief; weather it be counseling, clinical practice, or community outreach.

Right on. When I get my defaulted loans deferred again, I plan on going to get my generals with an aim at psych. If I find continuing with being a therapist isn't for me, I'll just take my generals and go for trauma nurse thangs.

Kind of mixed feelings towards working as a clinician or in therapy, personally. Fortunately, there is a lot of other interesting work you can get with psych ba these days!

Currently unemployed but going to school to get my commercial driver's license. I specifically plan on being an over the road trucker because I want to see what this country's all about. Almost ready to go on dispatch, waiting for the hard copy of my license to come in the mail to this company's office, which should be tomorrow at the absolute latest. Can't wait!

Don't worry, if I die in a fiery high-speed rollover explosion off a mountain, you guys will be the first to know and not care.

I start a UPS job tonight, hopefully it doesn't blow because the pay is a sweet deal to me. Also starting engineering classes in about a month, I'm extremely stoked on that.

My dad worked for UPS a really long time ago doing deliveries for about a year. He said it's pretty much company policy to treat those guys like total shit, but this was also about 20 years back. Who knows how it is now, especially since I'd guess you're working in a warehouse anyway.

I'm digging it and making the same amount only working half as much as my last job. It is also nowhere near as mentally dulling as my last job.

I work as a conservation biologist and adjunct professor. The field work is a lot of reptile/amphibian research particularly endangered/rare species and invasive species control.
The teaching is just easy money.
